Over 10 years of transformative innovation

Founded by Frank Allison, FIS360 began by providing independent commercialisation support for Cumbria’s successful Innovus programme, driving technology transfer and entrepreneurial success. Over the past decade, FIS360 has expanded its portfolio, introducing tailored open innovation programmes like Game Changers for Sellafield Ltd and developing partnerships across industries, academia, and government. ​

Today, FIS360’s expertise fuels progress, connecting businesses to transformative solutions through our globally-recognised innovation and commercialisation services.​

2013

FIS360 is founded by Frank Allison to provide independent technology commercialisation support for the Innovus Open Innovation Programme, promoting technology transfer and innovation in Cumbria.​

2014

While based in Saudi Arabia, Frank begins shaping FIS360 part-time, building its foundation as the bridge between industry and innovation.​

2016

Frank returns to the UK full-time to launch the Game Changers Open Innovation Programme, developed to address Sellafield Ltd’s decommissioning challenges.​

2017

FIS360 expands its services by hosting innovation workshops for businesses across Cumbria, driving technology adoption.​

2019

Our first office in Penrith opens, with new starters to help support the growing number of clients and programmes.​

2019

FIS360 joins the CLEP Innovation Strategy Group; begins supporting the KTN Innovation Exchange Programme; and expands the Game Changers innovation programme beyond Sellafield challenges to organisations including EDF, NRS Magnox, NRS Dounreay, National Nuclear Laboratory, and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.​

2020

FIS360 provides mentoring to Scottish Enterprise's High Growth Venture Programme, and launches of the first Game Changers incubator programme, extending innovation opportunities.​

2020

First active deployment of the Lyra inspection robot at Dounreay, supported by FIS360.​

2021

FIS360’s first entrepreneurship programme, Fusion for Createc, begins.

2021

Milestone 50th open innovation challenge published.

2022

FIS360 is Cyber Essentials certified, closely followed by Cyber Essentials Plus in 2023, signalling our strong commitment to ensuring robust cybersecurity measures across the organisation.

2022

The Challenge Portal is launched to enable streamlined open innovation engagement within Sellafield.

2022

FIS360 forms an advisory board to help steer future growth.

2023

The company achieves ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, marking a commitment to quality and sustainability.

2023

The team celebrates 10 years of delivering innovation.

2024

A Board of Directors is established.

2024

Launch of Amentum's ScaleMaker intrapreneurship programme.
