The Game Changers innovation programme, designed and delivered by FIS360, provides a unique and tailored approach to open innovation that is now firmly embedded in our operational processes and future strategy. FIS360’s ability to work with us to understand our needs and adapt programme delivery to address our organisation’s culture, structure and existing processes has led to the creation of an effective, flexible, scalable and well-established innovation programme.

In evaluating the work of FIS360, I had insight into their approach to collaboration, and the work they do to create, sustain, and grow a powerful ecosystem of innovators. Their skill in collaborative challenge design has been instrumental in changing the trajectories of multiple technologies, allowing significant advances to be made across multiple industries. FIS360 are an exemplar of open innovation, and the work they do with their partners is a case study in collaborative working.

FIS360 designed and developed Createc’s Fusion innovation programme with careful consideration for our remit, organisational structure and processes. They had the exact skillset needed to take our idea for exploiting IP and use their programme design know-how to develop a programme like no other. Their unparalleled expertise and experience in technology commercialisation have been invaluable, helping us to develop the culture of our technically-focussed delivery team into a team with a more rounded understanding of the whole commercialisation process.

Ice Nine have been involved in multiple Game Changers projects, matching our novel robotic solutions to difficult, real-world challenges. The funding support available for small SMEs reduces risk in development time and costs, whilst enabling demonstration to key stakeholders. We have benefitted access to the network of innovative engineers and challenge holders through engagement in the process, which in some cases has led to collaborative bids. We are incredibly grateful to the FIS360 team for running it!

Working on a Game Changers project with Sellafield and FIS360 has been a valuable experience for us as a company. The process has allowed us to tailor the development of our products to a target customer in an industry that can be difficult to access. As the project has progressed, we’ve had extremely valuable support and advice from FIS360 that will ultimately lead to a better final product.

We embarked on an ambitious project to develop a novel glove box gauntlet with Qinetiq through the Game Changers programme. Throughout the process, FIS360 have helped us develop the scope, connect with the right contacts, manage the programme and funding, and have provided feedback and updates to keep us informed to enable timely decisions to be made to maintain progress in what is a difficult concept. It has and continues to be an interesting and rewarding partnership.

The Game Changers programme has allowed us to disseminate UAV challenges posed by restricted access and harsh environments to a broad range of solution providers and collaborate closely on innovative UAV technology. FIS360 has been instrumental in these collaborations, guiding solution providers to meet our technical and commercial requirements. Game Changers has allowed us to engage with companies that aren’t from the nuclear sector, enabling new technologies and ideas to be explored and developed.
