Frank’s experience in technology commercialisation, from concept to commercial product, has benefitted sectors from manufacturing, energy and nuclear, to AI, robotics and agri-tech. He has spearheaded the development and delivery of commercialisation programmes for the University of Manchester, Sellafield, UKNNL, Amentum and many more.
Chief Operating Officer
Deborah oversees FIS360’s company operations. Key responsibilities include managing our environmental and quality management system, spearheading the implementation of innovative solutions to optimise processes, and supporting the culture of excellence that underpins all aspects of the business.
Head of Programme Delivery
Drawing on over two decades of experience in innovation consultancy and senior management, Stuart oversees programme and service delivery, customer support, resource planning, quality assurance, and client engagement, ensuring smooth operations and strong customer relationships. His broad background in business growth, investment, and incubation enables clients to unlock opportunities, while his leadership strengthens company performance and delivery.
Business Support Administrator
With over 10 years of experience working in a variety of administrative roles in the private sector, civil service, and higher education, Stephanie has honed her administrative skills with a client-focussed approach. She plays a key role in supporting the company, its staff, and its clients across all areas of the business and the programmes delivered by FIS360.
Innovation Consultant
Janet develops and delivers FIS360’s tailored innovation training and mentoring programmes to help businesses and academia grow their entrepreneurial culture and achieve real-world impact. Janet’s almost three decades of experience in SMEs, corporates and academic spinouts make her well placed to share real-world insights of the commercialisation journey.
Business Development & Project Manager
Rob coordinates innovation projects for Game Changers and RAICo, supporting technologies from early feasibility through to deployment. In business development, Rob contributes to the growth of FIS360’s innovation services by identifying new opportunities, engaging with clients, and supporting bid development. He also leads targeted outreach for our open innovation programmes.
Project Manager
Ellen brings a background in life sciences, technology transfer, and SME management to FIS360. Since 2020, she has helped deliver successful Game Changers innovation challenges, managed diverse development projects, and coordinated technology-themed events – supporting clients and the company by driving impactful innovation and effective delivery.

Kirstie manages innovation projects across FIS360’s programmes, developing challenges, monitoring project progress, and supporting intrapreneurship initiatives. She also delivers technology assessments and reports to inform decision-making. Her insights play a key role in shaping and improving FIS360’s products to meet the evolving needs of users and stakeholders.

In addition to managing open innovation projects, Helen provides commercialisation and technology transfer support to clients through both workshop delivery and one-to-one guidance. By working closely with our partners and stakeholder network, Helen delivers tailored, meaningful advice.

Kate is responsible for project managing a range of projects at FIS360, including Game Changers challenges, technology assessments and innovation events. Her positive drive to improve processes and to understand challenges (and to help others best describe them) fosters both continual improvement and innovation cultures within the business and with our clients.

Scott brings to FIS360 his experience in project management, technical reporting and an in-depth knowledge of the oil and gas sector. He is responsible for managing projects within our open innovation and intrapreneurship programmes, preparing grant funding reports and conducting market research for a diverse collection of organisations.
Communications and Marketing Officer
Lauren is responsible for communicating and marketing FIS360 and our many successful programmes, initiatives and events. By highlighting the incredible work being carried out by and on behalf of our partners, Lauren is able to build the reputation and reach of all stakeholders involved.
Chairman and Advisory Group Member
Gordon is a fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and is an energy industry veteran with 35+ years industry experience. He has been the chairman of two university spin-outs and an oil and gas software start-up. Through the Scottish Enterprise Proof-of-Concept programme and High Growth Ventures team, Gordon has worked as an advisor to 50+ start-up and spin-out businesses mainly in the energy and digital sectors.
He was a Director of Entrepreneur Business School Ltd between 2017 and 2021.
Advisory Group Member
Derek has over 40 years’ experience working in the Energy sector covering conventional, renewable and nuclear power generation, transmission, distribution and storage. The majority of that time was spent in industry where he led teams focussed on research and development, technology transfer and innovation commercialisation.
He joined Innovate UK in 2010 as Innovation Lead for Energy and Head of their nuclear innovation programme. He designed and was responsible for a total portfolio of over £100m ‘challenge-led’ nuclear innovation competitions driving innovation into the nuclear sector. During this time, he worked with numerous start-ups, SMEs and large businesses providing innovation support to take products from concept through to commercialisation.
He is a former member of the UK Government’s Nuclear Innovation & Research Advisory Board (NIRAB).
Advisory Group Member
Barry is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Professor of Applied Control and Nuclear Engineering Decommissioning at the University of Manchester. He holds a Royal Academy Chair in Emerging Technologies, and is the academic lead for the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Collaboration (RAICo) initiative in Cumbria, which aims to develop technology to support the decommissioning of the UK’s legacy nuclear facilities. He has been responsible for the development and deployment of numerous robots that have characterised active nuclear facilities in the UK and overseas and is a member of the UK Government’s Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM).
He has experience in the commercialisation of technology, having co-founded Perceptive Engineering (a process control solutions provider that employed more than 30 FTEs before being sold to Applied Materials in 2020) and helped to start up Ice Nine Ltd (a business that specialises in the development of nuclear decommissioning robots).
